Summary:Provided are an actuator and a camera device with which the torque necessary for rotating a movable unit in a rolling direction can be obtained, and magnetic force between drive magnets and magnetic yokes can be lessened. The actuator (2) is equipped with multiple drive magnets (first drive magnets 620, second drive magnets 621) and multiple back yokes (first magnetic back yokes 610, second magnetic back yokes 611). The multiple back yokes correspond to the multiple drive magnets in a one-to-one relationship, and the corresponding drive magnets are attached thereto. Among the multiple back yokes at least one pair of back yokes, which oppose one another with a light axis (1a) centered therebetween, have a base body and a yoke projection. The base body is attached to the corresponding drivemagnet among the multiple drive magnets. The yoke projection is arranged at least at one of the two ends of the corresponding drive magnet in the rolling direction of the movable unit (10), and is connected to the base body.
