Summary: | The invention relates to an electropneumatic control system (1) for a pneumatic drive (2) and to an electropneumatic position controller (3) for such a system. According to the invention, a volume flow booster (4) having a bypass valve (30) is downstream of the position controller (3) in order to increase the air capacity. In order to support an operator (58) in adjusting the bypass valve (30), the pneumatic drive (2) is run in a new operating mode multiple times at maximum air capacity in a first direction. Upon exceeding a specified position, the air capacity is set to zero, an overshoot value (DELTAx1) of the pneumatic drive (2) is determined and output for the operator (58) on a display (53). By varying the adjustment of the bypass valve (30), the operator can find and set an adjustment of the valve (30) having low overshoot. By means of an adjustment found in such a manner, the transition behavior of the control system can be significantly improved without additional effort.
