The invention discloses a general shape memory polymer transfer printing seal and a transfer printing method thereof. A seal body is a block or a film made of the shape memory polymer. The transfer printing method comprises the steps that (1) during picking, under the effect of the applied load, the shape memory polymer is converted into a low-modulus rubber state, an element of a main substrate is embedded into the shape memory polymer under the low-modulus rubber state, the applied load is removed, the shape memory polymer is converted into a high-modulus glass state, the element is clampedby the shape memory polymer in the glass state, and the element is picked from the main substrate; and (2) during printing, under the effect of the applied load, the shape memory polymer seal restoresthe initial shape, the element embedded in the seal is released, and the element is printed on the main substrate. The seal in simple in structure, convenient to process, low in cost and high in versatility, transfer printing
