A decorative member (1) includes a light-transmitting substrate (2) which is madeof resin and is formed with a recessed portion (7) on a back surface thereof, a hot stamping foil layer (8) which is formed on the back surface of the light-transmitting substrate (2) except for therecessed portion (7), and a metal vapor deposition film layer (9) which is laminated on the recessed portion (7) on the back surface of the light-transmitting substrate (2) and the hot stamping foil layer (8). The hot stamping foil layer (8) is laminated only on a convex portion, so that it is laminated on a flat portion other than the recessed portion (7), and the metal vapor deposition film layer (9) is deposited thereon over the entire surface.
