Summary:The invention provides a method for preparing a 3-hydroxybutyrate amino acid salt compound. The method comprises the following steps: (1) adding 3-ethyl hydroxybutyrate or 3-methyl hydroxybutyrate into a reaction vessel, taking water as a solvent, adding a base catalyst, and hydrolyzing 3-ethyl hydroxybutyrate or 3-methyl hydroxybutyrate under the effect of base catalyst, thereby acquiring 3-hydroxybutyrate; (2) adding 3-hydroxybutyrate into the reaction vessel, adding ethyl alcohol as the solvent, and then adding natural amino acid and reacting for 12-24 hours under the temperature at 30-80 DEG C, thereby acquiring the 3-hydroxybutyrate amino acid salt compound. According to the invention, some purification processes are avoided, operation is convenient and raw materials can be saved.
