The invention discloses a human body air bag for the elderly and children, and a working method thereof. The human body air bag for the elderly and children includes a close-fitting vest, main bags, aneck opening, side bags, air bags, connecting belts, male chucks, a storage battery, a switch button, female chucks, a controller, an acceleration sensor, a gyroscope and a gas generator, wherein theneck opening is arranged at the center of the close-fitting vest; the main bags are symmetrically sewn on the front and back sides of the close-fitting vest; the side bags are symmetrically sewn at the shoulders of the close-fitting vest; and air bags are arranged in both the main bags and the side bags. The human body air bag for the elderly and children enables the air bags to be inflated timely for safety protection by accurately detecting the overall state of the user by the accelerometer and the gyroscope together, thus greatly reducing the risk of danger, and at the same time the main body of the human body air
