The invention relates to the technical field of fuel heaters, in particular to a protective device for a fuel heater. An opening is formed in one side of a box body. A box door is hinged on the side,with the opening, of the box body. A buffer plate is arranged at the inner side of the box body. The buffer plate is limited by a limiting mechanism. A plurality of groups of buffer mechanisms are arranged at the lower end of the buffer plate. Sliding rails are correspondingly arranged at both sides of the upper end of the buffer plate. One end of each sliding rail extends to the outer side of thebuffer plate and is adjacent to the box door, and an installation plate is arranged at the upper end of the buffer plate. The fuel heater is installed at the upper end of the mounting plate. Slidingplates are correspondingly fixed to both sides of the lower end of the installation plate. The sliding plates are correspondingly inserted into the sliding rails. The installation plate is limited through a clamping mechanism.
