Summary:The present disclosure relates to a solid-state imaging element, a method for operating a solid-state imaging element, an imaging device, and an electronic device which make it possible to achieve a low-resolution image with low power consumption without deteriorating imaging characteristics of all pixels. A floating wire that connects floating diffusions (FDs) each set for each shared pixel comprising at least one or more pixels in every predetermined number of rows, and a switch for switching between connection and non-connection of the FD and the floating wire. Switching between connectionand non-connection of the FD and the floating wire is performed by the switch according to a low-resolution resolution.
