Summary: | This solar cell is provided with: a first electrode; a second electrode that is opposed to the first electrode; and a light-absorbing layer that includes a first layer and a second layer and that is positioned between the first electrode and the second electrode. The first layer includes a first compound that has a perovskite structure represented by composition formula A1M1X1 3, in which A1 represents a monovalent cation, M1 represents a divalent cation, and X1 represents a halogen anion. The second layer includes a second compound that is different in composition from the first compound andthat has a perovskite structure represented by composition formula A2M2X2 3, in which A2 represents a monovalent cation, M2 represents a divalent cation, and X2 represents a halogen anion. The first compound in the first layer and/or the second compound in the second layer has a single orientation.
