The invention relates to the technical field of power distribution network maintaining, in particular to an early warning method and system for a power distribution network. The early warning system for the power distribution network comprises multiple power measurement devices, a camera device, a voice collector, a communication device, a display device, a storage device and a microprocessor, andis characterized in that the power measurement devices are installed at the input ends and the output ends of all sets of power distribution equipment in the power distribution network, and comprisepower detecting units and power value display units, and identifications (IDs) are distributed to the power measurement devices respectively; the voice collector collects work noise of power protection equipment, and the camera device and the voice collector are connected with the microprocessor through the communication device. The early warning method and system have the advantages that by monitoring the power of the inp
