The preparation method of the antibacterial modal fibers is characterized by comprising the following steps: mixing silvernitrate and dimethyl diallyl ammonium chloride to prepare an antibacterial solution, and then alkalizing, ageing and yellowing cotton pulp, mixing the cotton pulp with the antibacterial solution, filtering, defoaming and maturing to obtain a spinning solution; solidifying the spinning solution in spinning coagulation bath to obtain nascent filaments; carrying out spinning and drafting on the nascent filaments to obtain fibers, and carrying out processes such as defoaming, desulfurization, bleaching, washing, oiling and drying on the fibers to obtain the modal fibers. The dry breakage strengthof the prepared modal fibers is between 3.4-3.6 cN/dtex, the dry breakage elongation of the modal fibers is between 13%-14%, and the prepared modal fibers basically conform to definition of Bureau International pour la Standar
