The invention discloses a method for optimizing the voltage level of a flexible HVDC transmission system. The method comprises the following steps: according to the feasible range of the voltage levelof the HVDC transmission system, determining a candidate scheme that meets the requirements; constructing the evaluation system of system voltage grade; according to the evaluation index value in theevaluation system, the initial decision matrix is established and normalized. Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and entropy method are used to calculate the weights of the evaluation indexes, and theweights of the comprehensive indexes are obtained by combination weighting. The weighted normalization matrix is constructed according to the weight of synthetic index.
