The invention discloses a water-soluble magnesium-aluminum alloy release agent. The raw materials of the release agent comprise the following components in percentage by mass: 10-30% of mineral oil, 3-5% of special amine, 6-8% of oleic acid, 5-10% of self-emulsifying lipids, 5-10% of a water-based lubricant, 5-10% of an aqueous rust preventive, 1-3% of a magnesium-aluminum sustained-release agent,1-3% of a coupling agent, 5-10% of organic silicone emulsion, 5-10% of wax emulsion, 0.5-1.0% of an antifoaming agent composite package, 0.5-1.0% of a bactericide composite package and the balance ofdeionized water. The diluent has excellent lubricating property, anti-rust property and antibacterial property; and the release agent is applicable to die-casting release and metal-cutting technologies of die-casting machines and high-speed lathes, and has excellent cleanability, load-foam property and release property.
