一种婴幼儿的皮肤状态的评价方法，其中，分别将由作为被试验体的婴幼儿的皮肤角质层的采集物调制的被试验体的脂质试样中所含的表1所示的下述(1)～(10)的任意一种所示的组合的神经酰胺成分1和神经酰胺成分2进行定量，算出定量的神经酰胺成分1的成分量与神经酰胺成分2的成分量的比，根据算出的比来评价被试验体的皮肤状态。[表1] A method for evaluating the state of skin in an infant or a young child, said method comprising quantifying each of a ceramide component 1 and a ceramide component 2 in any one of combinations (1) to (10) shown in table 1 in a lipid sample from a subject, i.e., the infant or the young child, which is prepared from a substance collected from a skin horny layer from the subject, then calculating the ratio of the quantified component amount of the ceramide component 1 to the quantified component amount of the ceramide component 2, and then evaluating the state of the skin of the subject from the calculated ratio.
