Summary:The invention relates to an image encryption and decryption method for a random size segmentation structured phase plate. Firstly, in the encryption side, a random phase plate is decomposed into a series of sub-blocks of random sizes. Then, two random phase plates are generated by filling each sub-block with the structure function generated by random parameters. Then, the amplitude image is encrypted using a dual random encryption system. Finally, in the decryption side, the conjugate phase plate is used to decrypt the image and recover the original image. The method of the invention can better improve the randomness of the encrypted image and the security of the encryption system.
