The invention relates to an energy-saving and environment-friendly glassware production method and a glassware melting furnace to solve the problem of high energy consumption in the prior art. Long-diameter longitudinal flame which is generated by small furnaces or burners arranged at two short sides of a rectangular melting furnace and a regenerative chamber equipped with a commutator and can becommutating regularly is utilized for melting and heating, and molten glass is supplied to a glassware former through reclaiming ports arranged at the middle part of long sides of a melting tank. Thebottom of the melting tank is strongly insulated. The center of the melting tank is provided with two lateral partition walls for blocking direct flowing of the molten glass into the center of the melting tank and throats which are positioned under the lateral partition walls to communicate with the glass flow at the tank bottom and at two sides of the lateral partition walls and used for guidingthe molten glass to the cen
