The invention provides a coding disc with a single code track and a corresponding encoder. The coding disc with the single code track is provided with a circular code track; the code track is alternatively composed of light penetration sectors and lightproof sectors; the code track includes one or more zero position areas; and the zero position area is composed of more than one continuous lightproof sectors or more than one continuous light penetration sectors. The rotary encoder with the single code track can achieve one or more distinguishable positioning reference points by only requiring one code track and two read heads; the number of electronic components involved is also greatly reduced; and a structure is obviously optimized, the cost is lower, and the reliability is high. 本发明提供种单码道编码盘及相应的编码器，该单码道编码盘上设有环形码道，码道由透光扇区和不透光扇区交替组成，码道包括个或多个零位区，零位区由个以上连续的不透光扇区或个以上连续的透光扇区组成。该单码道旋转编码器仅需条码道和两个读头就能实现个或多个可区分的定位基准点，所涉及的电子元器件的数量也大大减少，结构明显优化，成本更低，可靠性高。
