Summary: | Export gas from the preheating zone (2), possibly with an addition of reduction gas from the reduction zone (18), is used for production of hot-briquetted iron. Fine ore is preheated in a preheating zone, then largely reduced at least in one reduction zone before it is fed to a compacting and briquetting unit. The heated export gas is directed into at least one reduction zone to produce a fluidized-layer bed. This gas is then extracted and fed (with partial combustion to rise its temperature) into the preheating zone to produce a fluidized-layer bed. The installation includes a gas line (6) with a CO washer and a heating unit leading to at least one further reduction reactor (8) connected by a gas line to a preheating reactor (1) with fluidized-layer bed. |
