The invention relates to the technical field of masonry mortar, and discloses novel masonry mortar based on solid waste and a preparing method thereof. The masonry mortar includes, by weight, 80-105 parts of a binding material, 250-450 parts of steel slag sand and 30-40 parts of water. The binding material includes, by weight, 40-50 parts of steel slag micropowder, 15-20 parts of straw ash, 10-15parts of silica fume and 15-20 parts of fly ash. The masonry mortar is free of additive, free of cement clinker, simple to prepare, low in cost and good in mechanical performance and durability. 本发明涉及砌筑砂浆技术领域，公开了种基于固体废弃物的新型砌筑砂浆及制备方法。本发明包括以下重量份数的组分：胶凝材料80-105份，钢渣砂250-450份和水30-40份；其中胶凝材料包括以下重量份数的组分：钢渣微粉40-50份，秸秆灰15-20份，硅灰10-15份，粉煤灰15-20份。本发明不添加外加剂，不含水泥熟料，制备简便、成本低，具有较好力学性能和耐久性。
