The invention discloses a locking mechanism for a die. The locking mechanism comprises a fixed die (1), a movable die (2) and a locking module (3), wherein a bearing shaft I (4) is arranged between the locking module (3) and the fixed die (1); a bearing shaft II (5) is arranged between the locking module (3) and the movable die (2). The locking mechanism is characterized in that an insert slot (6)is formed in the end part of the bearing shaft I (4); a block piece (7) with an L-shaped structure is rotationally arranged in the insert slot (6); a positioning bead (8) with a fixing effect on theblock piece (7) is arranged between the block piece (7) and the bearing shaft I (4); width of a main body part of the block piece (7) is smaller than or equal to diameter of the bearing shaft I (4). Compared with the prior art, the locking mechanism has advantages that the overall structure is simple, the locking module is fixed by the L-shaped block piece and can be moved by rotating the block piece, components are not re
