The invention discloses a novel gypsum board covering paper and gypsum separation system which comprises a grinding unit, a vibration unit and a collecting unit. The grinding unit is used for pressingand breaking a gypsum board and smashing the gypsum board into a covering paper and gypsum particle mixture; the vibration unit is used for conducting vibration separating on gypsum particles and covering paper output by the grinding unit; and the collecting unit is used for collecting the covering paper and the gypsum particles from the vibration unit. By means of the novel gypsum board coveringpaper and gypsum separation system, a pressing and breaking roller in the grinding unit is used for pressing and breaking the long bar gypsum board into a gypsum board with a certain length, a crushing roller is used for smashing the gypsum board with the certain length into the gypsum particles, and therefore separation of gypsum and the covering paper is achieved.
