Summary:The invention provides a gas-phase polymerization method for producing an alpha-olefin copolymer. The method comprises the steps of copolymerizing an alpha-olefin monomer with other one or more alpha-olefin monomers in one or more horizontal gas-phase reactors arranged in series by using an olefin polymerization catalyst component, at least one organic aluminum compound and an optional external electron donor compound; and determining a maximum value (that is a rubber content critical value) of a rubber content of polymer powder in a critical flow state in the reactors according to a quantitative relation between an olefin polymerization catalyst component index and an horizontal gas-phase reactor parameter.
