The invention relates to a method for calculating air leaking rate of a boiler air pre-heater. The method comprises the following steps: arranging measuring points at smoke channels at an inlet and anoutlet of the air pre-heater by a grid method; measuring the oxygen content of smoke in each of the measuring points at the smoke channels at the inlet and the outlet of the air pre-heater; measuringthe temperature, the dynamic pressure and the static pressure of the smoke at each of the measuring points at the smoke channels at the inlet and the outlet of the air pre-heater; calculating the flowing rate of smoke at the corresponding measuring points based on the smoke, the dynamic pressure and the static pressure of the smoke at each measuring point; performing weighted calculation on the oxygen content of smoke based on the flowing speed of the smoke at each of the measuring points at the smoke channels at the inlet and the outlet of the air pre-heater to obtain an average value of theoxygen content of the smok
