Summary: | The invention relates to a system and method for testing the bypass switching time of a UPS by using a power plant or transformer station fault recorder, and belongs to the field of power system operation and maintenance. Since there are provided a large number of power plants and transformer stations, it does not satisfy the economical requirements of an enterprise to equip each power plant or transformer station with UPS special test equipment. The system and method, mainly by using the wire of the UPS connected to a printer in a fault recorder screen cabinet and the standby voltage channelof the fault recorder, tests the bypass switching time of the UPS in virtue of the recording function of the fault recorder and ensures that the characteristics of the UPS meet the operational requirements of field control and protection equipment.
