The invention discloses a method for preparing a leather carving foamed material. The method comprises the following steps: uniformly mixing an EVA ((Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) resin, a soluble starch grafted vinyl acetate copolymer, modified attapulgite powder and modified sepiolite clay, adding a foaming agent, a cross-linking agent and foaming aids, melting, putting a mixture into a double-rolleropen mill, pressing so as to obtain thin pieces, cutting the thin pieces, putting into a mold which is coated by a demolding agent in advance, evaporating off moisture completely, and carrying out molding foaming in a vulcanizing machine. An EVA product prepared by using the method not only has the property that the EVA foamed material is light in weight, good in thermal insulation and moisture resistance, free of toxicity, good in vibration resistance, and the like, but also can be foamed and molded at one time, is free of tedious preparation process, is relatively safe and scientific, good in comprehensive property,
