The method comprises the following steps of dissolving purified and pre-oxidized coal asphalt into a special solvent with the temperature being 80 DEG C or more; mixing biomass polyhydroxy alcohols in the asphalt solution; feeding the materials into a ball mill; performing stirring, pyrolysis and compounding; performing wet process ball milling crushing in the ball mill; performing centrifugation on suspension to obtain solid-containing slurry; putting the solid-containing slurry into a low-temperature carbonization furnace for pre-carbonization; performing crushing and sieving on the powder particles; putting the materials into a nitrogen atmosphere carbonization furnace;maintaining the state for a period of time at 1100 to 1200 DEG C to obtain the hard carbon material for the lithium ion battery negative electrode.
