Summary:The invention discloses an AMPD1 gene capable of being used as a diagnostic tool for dengue fever and dengue hemorrhagic fever. The high-throughput sequencing and reverse transcription PCR research finds that the content of the AMPD1 gene in blood of patients suffering from the dengue fever and dengue hemorrhagic fever is remarkably higher than that of a normal person. Therefore, the AMPD1 gene can be used as a molecular marker for diagnosing the dengue fever and dengue hemorrhagic fever.
