Summary: | The invention discloses a stigma-exertion gene of a plant medicago truncatula flower organ as well as an encoded protein and application thereof. A gene is shown in any one DNA molecule of the following (a1) to (a4): (a1) a DNA molecule shown in a coding region such as SEQ ID NO. 1; (a2) a DNA molecule shown in SEQ ID NO. 3; (a3) a DNA molecule by hybridizing with a DNA sequence defined by (a1) or(a2) under stringent conditions and encoding a DNA molecule of a protein of claim 1; (a4) a DNA molecule derived from the medicago truncatula and having 90% or more homology with the DNA sequence defined by (a1) or (a2) or (a3). The gene can control the stigma exsertion and petal fusion of the plant; and lay a theoretical foundation for studying the regulation of the stigma exsertion of a CABL2 gene in plants.
