Summary: | The invention provides a kit for diagnosing human enterovirus type 71 infection. The test kit comprises one or more solid carriers, and polypeptides, represented by SEQ ID NO: 1 to 6, independently connected to the solid carrier(s). When the response or not of all of the polypeptides represented by SEQ ID NO:1 to 6 are responsive to IgM in a blood sample derived from a subject is used as an indicator for determining whether the subject is infected with human enterovirus type 71 or not, the human enterovirus 71 infection can be diagnosed at a sensitivity of 92% or more and a false positive rateof 5% or less.
