The invention provides an application of a reagent in preparing a kit. The kit is used for diagnosing unstable angina pectoris; and the reagent is used for detecting miR-3162-3p. The inventor, based upon experiments, surprisingly discovers that the miR-3162-3p has obvious expression differences in patients with unstable angina pectoris and stable angina pectoris, and the miR-3162-3p can achieve arelatively good diagnosis value (AUC=0.790, p=0.003) in old patients with unstable angina pectoris and stable angina pectoris. The sensitivity of the miR-3162-3p is 76.7%, and specificity is 70%.
