The charging method comprises the steps of detecting highest single battery cell voltage of a battery pack; reducing a current limiting value of the battery pack and raising a current limiting voltage of the battery pack if the highest single battery cell voltage reaches an initial current limiting voltage; continuing to reduce the current limiting value of the battery pack and raise the current limiting voltage of the battery pack until a new reduced current limiting value reaches minimum current limiting value if the highest single battery cell voltage reaches the raised voltage of a charging limiting current, or stopping charging the battery pack until the raised current limiting voltage reaches a charging stop voltage.
