The fault prefabrication method comprises the steps of firstly extracting and summarizing all possible fault causes from bearings installed on equipment which are malfunctioning during actual operation, obtaining a fault characteristic library including various fault characteristics, replacing a traditional electrospark technology witha laser technology to reproduce fault performance consistent with each fault characteristic on a new bearing, and finally obtaining a simulated fault bearing; compared with uncontrollability and higher randomness of electrospark, a laser has higher stability and stronger controllability, and can bring the prefabrication effect with higher precision, the fault characteristics reproduced are more consistent, and the actual use effect is better.
