The invention discloses a universal Modbus protocol address configuration method. According to the method, data of different photovoltaic inverter devices is collected to a centralized control platform; configuration information of different photovoltaic inverter devices is stored in the centralized control platform; a request message for the configuration information is sent to the centralized control platform; the configuration information issued by the centralized control platform is received; the configuration information issued by the centralized control platform is analyzed, data interaction is carried out with the photovoltaic inverter devices through utilization of a Modbus protocol, and the data of the photovoltaic inverter devices is obtained; and the data of the photovoltaic inverter devices is uploaded to the centralized control platform. According to the method, a photovoltaic collection device can be configured at any time, so a collection module of the photovoltaic collection device adapts to v
