The invention discloses an array substrate and a display panel. The array substrate comprises a first metal layer, a first insulation layer, a second metal layer and a second insulation layer and alsocomprises a first via hole, a second via hole, an auxiliary metal block and an auxiliary via hole, wherein the first metal layer, the first insulation layer, the second metal layer and the second insulation layer are sequentially arranged, the first via hole is used for exposing the first metal layer, the second via hole is used for exposing the second metal layer, the auxiliary metal block and the second metal layer are arranged at the same layer, the auxiliary via hole is used for exposing the auxiliary metal block, and the first via hole, the second via hole and the auxiliary via hole areformed by an etching process for one time. After the second insulation layer is etched and during the process of forming the first via hole and etching the first insulation layer, the etching area sumof metal exposed out of th
