The invention discloses a process for preparing sea ceramics by pottery clay and seashell species. 60-70wt% of pottery clay slurry, 15-20wt% of mineral powder, 2-5wt% of feldspar and 5-15wt% of quartzare uniformly mixed and grouted to form a green body, the green body is subjected to biscuiting at high temperature in an open electric kiln by a continuous heating mode, the biscuiting temperature ranges from 1180 DEG C to 1280 DEG C, and the green body is naturally cooled after biscuiting. The process is simple, resources are rich, the ceramics prepared by means of grouting, pressing, hand shaping and the like and by the aid of a new raw material formula and a preparation process are high in forming rate and not easy to crack when being placed into an environment of 5 DEG C at the temperature of 300 DEG C, the prepared sea ceramics are porous materials with double pore structures, pores are fine, the density is high, surfaces are smooth, bases are firm, walls are thin, and water absorption is smaller than 3%.
