The invention discloses a liquid crystal display device comprising a backlight unit and a liquid crystal panel which are disposed oppositely. The liquid crystal panel comprises a first polarizer, a first liquid crystal box and a second polarizer which are sequentially disposed on the backlight unit, wherein the liquid crystal display device further includes a brightness enhancement film, a secondliquid crystal box and a third polarizer which are disposed on the second polarizer in sequence, wherein the light absorption axis of the first polarizer is perpendicular to the light absorption axisof the second polarizer, the light absorption axis of the third polarizer is parallel to the light absorption axis of the second polarizer, and the second liquid crystal box is a liquid crystal box ina VA mode.
