The working face coal and rock top and bottom plate digital model is obtained through a physical detection technology. The coal and rock top and bottom plate digital model is analyzed by utilizing a computer technology, curves of a top plate and a bottom plate of a to-be-mined coal seam and a height trajectory are determined, and bottom plate fluctuant change areas and critical inflection points are marked, so that a coal cutter is instructed to select different height adjusting control strategies according to the actual situation. Moreover, by unifying the mileage position of the coal cutter and the mileage position of the curve of a bottom plate model, accurate coal cutter positioning can be obtained, and theposition basis is provided
