Summary: | The invention relates to application of glutamine in low phosphorous basal acidification, and belongs to the technical field of agriculture. Glutamine, as an important amino acid molecule, not only involves in the photorespiration process and the nitrogen assimilation, but also acts as a signal molecule to sense the low phosphorus state in the plant leaves, and transfers it from the blade to the root part, so that the rhizosphere acidification level of the plant is regulated, and can influence the absorption and utilization of the inorganic phosphorus in the soil. In addition, mutant p444 associated with glutamine accumulation has a similar phenotype of rhizosphere acidification, and further suggests that endogenous glutamine participates in the rhizosphere acidification process as a signal molecule.
