Summary: | The present invention relates to a capsule for delivery of a secreted biologically active compound to a subject; cell lines expressing recombinant proteins, and generation of the cell lines for use innaked and encapsulated cell biodelivery of secreted therapeutic molecules. The invention also relates to a method for generating recombinant proteins using the cell lines. In one embodiment, the cellline is human. In another aspect of the invention, a transposon system is used for generating a cell line for secretion of a biologically active polypeptide.
