Summary: | The invention discloses a manufacturing method of a polyethylene pipe image quality indicator and the image quality indicator obtained by the same. The method includes the steps that a pipe segment iscut from a to-be-detected polyethylene pipe and defined as an image quality indicator forming blank; a spatial resolution detection area is divided from the inner wall of the image quality indicatorforming blank, and then a regular detection step structure is prepared in the spatial resolution detection area through a precision machining method; a plate thickness resolution detection area is divided form the spatial resolution detection area, and then a regular detection hole structure is prepared in the plate thickness resolution detection area through a precision machining method. Thus, the manufactured image quality indicator can be applied to nondestructive detection of polyethylene pipes, and the sensitivity of radiography on polyethylene pipes is effectively controlled.
