The method is characterized by comprising that A) data, of a PPI format, collected by a meteorological radar is obtained, the data ofthe PPI format is converted into data of a CAPPI format, and the data of the CAPPI format is stored; B) the data of the CAPPI format is scanned layer by layer, and maximal scanning values in three 3Ddirections are obtained and stored; and C) the maximal scanning values stored in the step B) establish a mapping texture via a 3D function library to obtain a 3D model of a meteorological chart, and the 3D model is displayed in a display device.
