The invention aims at providing a beam forming method and device for a massive MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) system. Specifically, the method comprises the steps of carrying out horizontal direction baseband beam forming on S ways of data streams which are planned to be transmitted through an antenna array, thereby obtaining T ways of data streams; carrying out vertical direction digital beam forming on the T ways of data streams, thereby mapping the T ways of data streams to corresponding channels according to a preset rule; and carrying out analog beam forming on the data streams ineach channel, thereby mapping the data streams in each channel to corresponding array elements of the antenna array for sending.
