The automatic clearing and collecting device for the accumulated liquid of the long-distance natural gas pipeline comprises a collecting pipe, a buffering pipe, a discharging pipe, liquid level sensors, a buffering tank, a pump, a ground storage tank, a breathing valve, a plurality of electric valves and a control system, wherein the buffering tank is mainly composed of a rectangular water tank, valves and a liquid level sensor. The invention further provides a control method of the automatic clearing and collecting device for the accumulated liquid of the long-distance natural gas pipeline.
