Summary: | A fault indication and diagnosing device 1 is provided with: a thermal flux sensor 10 for detecting thermal flux generated by an object of measurement either continuously or in specific time intervalsfrom the start of operation of the object of measurement; and a control device 12 for determining whether or not there is a fault indication on the basis of the detection results from the thermal flux sensor 10. Thermal flux generated by equipment due to current, voltage, sound, vibration, and/or friction changes when a fault indication is generated from the equipment. Accordingly, it is possibleto diagnose the presence or absence of a fault indication in the object of measurement by using the thermal flux sensor 10, and without using a plurality of types of sensors, in order to measure thecurrent, voltage, sound, vibration, and friction.
