The molecular identification method is characterized in that a molecular biology DNA sequencing method is adopted to obtain COI gene sequences of the sibling species, such as culicoideslongirostris, culicoides liui and culicoides albifascia tokunaga, of the culicoides latreille, and then comparison of the similarity of the gene sequences is performed, so that the sibling species ofthe culicoides latreille can be identified according to comparison results.
