Summary:The invention provides a high-performance piston manufacturing method. The high-performance piston manufacturing method comprises the following steps that 1, a metal bar is machined into a cylinder structure through a turning technique and then subjected to surface spraying treatment, a ceramic coating and a thermoplastic polyimide layer are sprayed on the two axial end faces of the metal bar correspondingly, and thus an insert is manufactured; 2, the insert is heated and then put into an injection mould, and meanwhile thermoplastic polyimide is injected into the injection mould, and thus a blank is manufactured; 3, remnants of the blank are removed in a turning mode, and the outer diameter of the blank is machined into the needed size; and 4, surface oil fouling and burrs are removed, andthus a piston is obtained. The piston is formed by close bonding of the thermoplastic polyimide and the metal bar, a piston ring structure of a traditional piston is removed, the advantages of smaller weight, better abrasion
