Summary: | An organic electronic device structure has a first electrical contact layer, an anode layer and a second electrical contact layer, a cathode layer, and a photoactive layer between them. Adjacent to the anode may be a hole injection layer sometimes referred to as a buffer layer. Adjacent to the hole injection layer may be a hole transport layer, including hole transport material, wherein new compounds are useful as hole transport materials. Adjacent to the cathode may be an electron transport layer, including an electron transport material.
