Disclosed are a piece of fabric for hand-sewn works and a method for making said works with said fabric, the piece of fabric consisting of a piece (1) of material that incorporates, with identical ordifferent colours, prints and/or textures, figures (2) for making a determined patchwork design (3), each figure (2) being marked with a seam line (4) that defines the outline thereof and a cutting line (5), which is optionally die-cut, that defines a peripheral border. The method only comprises: obtaining the piece (1), cutting out the figures (2) along the cutting line (5), and sewing the figures together.
