The invention belongs to the technical field of polymer materials, and particularly relates to an SEBS (styrene-ethylene/butylene-styrene block co-polymer) modified material with high tensile properties and a preparation method of the SEBS modified material. The SEBS modified material is prepared from components in parts by weight as follows: 100 parts of SEBS, 50-100 parts of naphthenic oil, 30 parts of polypropylene, 20-25 parts of PBT (polybutylene terephthalate), 10 parts of a PTW (ethylene glycidyl methacrylate butylacrylate terpolymer), 30-40 parts of a grafted blend and 0.1-0.5 parts ofan antioxidant. Compared with most other SEBS materials modified with polypropylene, the SEBS modified material with the high tensile properties is modified with PBT, polypropylene and the grafted blend on the basis of PTW as a compatilizer, the mechanical properties such as tensile strength, elongation at break, hardness and the like of the SEBS modified material with the high tensile propertiesare improved considerably
