The invention discloses a liquid cooling system for an electromagnetic coil. The liquid cooling system comprises a liquid storage tank for containing an external insulating coolant, the electromagnetic coil which is located in the liquid storage tank and used for being immersed into the external insulating coolant, a hydraulic pump, a first pipe and a second pipe, wherein a channel is arranged inthe electromagnetic coil; a liquid inlet end of the hydraulic pump communicates with one end of the first pipe and the other end of the first pipe communicates with one end of the channel; the other end of the channel communicates with one end of the second pipe and the other end of the second pipe communicates with a liquid outlet end of the hydraulic pump; the channel of the electromagnetic coil, the hydraulic pump, the first pipe and the second pipe form a circulation loop; and an internal insulating coolant flows in the circulation loop.
